What is the seating capacity?The Marble Rooms offers a versatile space perfect for hosting your dream wedding or any grand celebration! While the venue can accommodate up to 300 guests in a standing or open arrangement, it is ideally suited for seated events. For weddings and receptions requiring both seating and a dance floor, the space comfortably accommodates up to 225 guests. This ensures ample room for dining, dancing, and celebrating without feeling crowded. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a larger celebration, The Marble Rooms provides the perfect backdrop to make your event truly unforgettable!

Can I bring my own caterer?Yes, at The Marble Room, you are welcome to bring your own licensed and insured caterer for your event. However, due to past experiences, we kindly request that you run your vendor choices by us first to ensure they meet our standards and requirements. This policy helps us maintain the high quality of service and event experience that The Marble Rooms is known for, ensuring your special day goes smoothly.

Can we bring our own alcohol?Yes, you can bring your own alcohol, provided you secure a one-day ABC license. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests, we require you to hire a licensed and insured bartender. Due to past experiences, we also kindly ask that you run your vendor selection by us for approval, we do have a short list of vendors who may not return to work at The Marble Room. This helps us maintain the high standards of service and safety for which The Marble Rooms is known.

Do you have a bridal suite?Yes, we have 2 bridal suites.

Do you have a separate ceremony site?Yes, if you have up to 142 seated guests and up to 14 standing in the bridal party, your ceremony can be held in "The Studio". If you have more than that your ceremony would need to be held in The Ballroom. We have two options for your ceremony to be held in the Ballroom. Option 1 is free, guests sit at the tables and chairs that are set up for the reception while you get married under the large chandelier. Option 2 is a room flip, which is an additional $1500, this covers the extra100 feet of draping and staff needed to flip the space in a timely manner. For option 2 the room is first set up ceremony style, after the ceremony guests go into The Studio for standing cocktail hour, while guests are enjoying cocktail hour the Ballroom is then flipped into the reception set up. A room flip typically takes 30-40 minutes to complete.

Do you have a place for outdoor pictures?Yes, 3 minutes from the venue is a beautiful long wooden bridge surrounded by trees and nature. Most people love to take pictures in the ballroom surrounded by the beautiful decorations.

Is event insurance required?Yes, we do require the Renter to purchase day of event insurance with a $0 deductible, one million dollar minimum coverage, and name The Marble Room as the additional insured. All vendors working The Marble Room must provide their own insurance that lists The Marble Room as the additional insured.

Do you provide tables/chairs?Yes, we provide 15 standard 5ft round tables, 7 standard 4ft round tables, 180 gold Chiavari chairs, 10 standard 6ft rectangular tables.

What lodging options are available?The Marble Room is conveniently located near several lodging options to accommodate out-of-town guests. There are two hotels just seven minutes away on Mechanicsville Turnpike, making them an ideal choice for those seeking proximity to the venue. Additionally, the Richmond International Airport is only 14 minutes away and is surrounded by a variety of hotel options. This ensures that your guests have multiple convenient and comfortable lodging choices to make their stay enjoyable while attending your special event at The Marble Room.

Do you have parking?Yes, we have ample free onsite parking available.

How do I secure my date?To officially book a signed contract is required along with a 50% nonrefundable retainer fee. The remaining 50% is due 60 days before your event. All events within 60 days are required to pay in full.

What time will I have access to the property?Access to the property will depend on the timeframe agreed upon in your contract.

Can I use real candles?Only battery operated candles are allowed on the premises.

What items are not permitted for an event?-Glitter -Confetti -Rice -Popping bottles -Only free standing decorations, nothing can be attached to the venue surface -If you hire a vendor to do the cloud they must use dry ice and not a regular fog machine, the sprinklers will go off if you use regular fog. -The only person allowed to do floor wraps at The Marble Room is Valerie Renee, these are put directly on our floor, if the wrong material is used it will damage the floor.

Can I bring in my own vendors?Yes, you may bring in licensed and insured vendors. However, please note that there are a few restrictions regarding certain vendors due to past performance issues. We kindly ask that you run your vendors through us before signing any contracts to ensure they are not on our list of vendors who are not allowed back at The Marble Room. We want your day to be seamless with an unforgettable experience.

Can I attach anything to the walls or floors?Nothing can be affixed to the venue, all decorations must be free standing.

Who will setup and breakdown the tables and chairs?At The Marble Room, your responsibilities regarding the setup and breakdown of tables and chairs depend on the type of service package you select. If you opt for venue rental only, you, as the client, are responsible for both setting up and breaking down the tables and chairs. However, if you choose our venue rental package along with full-service decor provided by Valerie Renee, her team will take care of the entire setup and breakdown process for you. Additionally, Valerie Renee offers a complimentary custom computer floor layout to ensure your event is organized to perfection. This allows you to focus more on enjoying your special day and less on logistical details.

How much is it to rent The Marble Room?Prices vary by season and day. Please contact us for a current pricing sheet.

Is there a kitchen available on site?The Marble Room does not have a full kitchen on site; however, we do provide a dedicated prep area for catering services. This prep area is equipped to accommodate various catering needs, allowing external catering teams to prepare, organize, and serve food efficiently. While the space is optimized for final touches and plating, all major cooking and baking be completed off-site. If you need a recommendation our team works closely with a preferred catering partner who is familiar with our facilities and can help ensure a seamless culinary experience for your special event.

What is expected at clean up?You must bag and remove ALL of your trash from the ballroom, the studio, the bridal suites, the bathrooms, any and all trash anywhere in the building. To make it easy we do have a dumpster onsite right outside the back ballroom door. If needed, for an additional fee we can provide trash removal service, if you get this service they will also clean up any spills throughout your event. You and your vendors must remove anything you brought in. If you use the refrigerator you must empty and wipe it out. If food or drink is spilled during your event it must be cleaned up right away, this is a safety hazard. We do have wet floor signs onsite. The caterer must wipe off the prep space counters and wipe up any food spills or splatters that may have occurred in the prep area. The bartender must wipe off the bar counter. If they use the chiller table they must empty the chiller table and the bucket underneath it. Once the event is over The Marble Room will sweep, mop, and clean the bathrooms. If you did venue rental only and no decor package you must break down the tables/chairs. If you hired Valerie Renee for decor her team will break down the tables/chairs.
